How to Send an eInvoice through Link4 using Xero? (NZ Users)

Once you have successfully connected your Link4 account with Xero, you can start sending eInvoices to your customers by creating the invoices as you normally do in Xero.

Before sending eInvoices, there are a few points to remember :

  1. Make sure that the Customer is listed in your Xero "Customers" contact list. This allows Link4 to sync your contacts list into the Customers page in Link4.

  2. Link4 can identify if the Customer is eInvoicing-ready through the customer's Business Number.
Go to "My Network" and click on "Customers"
    i. If the NZBN is updated, click on the "Enable" button to begin eInvoicing.

ii. If the NZBN is not added, click on the "Update NZBN" button from the Invite to eInvoicing page.

Step 1:  Login to your Xero accounting software and go to "Business" and select "Invoices" to create an invoice.

or you can click the plus "+" sign, then click "Invoice".

Step 2:  Click on "New Invoice"

Step 3: Once you have entered the invoice details and ready to send the invoice through Link4 Access Point, please click on the "Approve" button.

You can now check the invoice status as listed under the "Invoices" page in Link4.
